Pressing Charges?? Minor and adult?

Okay, my friend is 16, she has a girlfriend who is 19, 20 in August. Her parents are upset that she has a girlfriend, and that they're having sex. they suspect they are, they are. She threatened to press charges on the older one for having sex with her minor daughter. But isn't the legal age of consent 16? Doesn't she need proof to press charges. How would she go about pressing charges on their relationship? HELPP!:D

There is no such thing as "pressing charges". Someone can file a report, and if the prosecutors want to charge it, they will.

ok Go WWW. your state .gov will show you all info about consent ..now here one you should know some state if both are 16 any of the parents or legal guardian can file charges

it depends on the state you live in as to what the age of consent is. however, the 19 year old is sleeping with a child (yes, you are still a child at 16)--it's morally wrong, even if it isn't illegal
