Twilight Series VS Harry Potter Series?

Twilight is so shallow. I tried reading it and it was so incredibly boring and idiotic I stopped. Everything is so overly descriptive it's annoying. Bella has no life and drops her friends for her sparkly boyfriend. She doesn't do anything. It's just bleh. Edward is controlling.

Harry Potter is never boring. Ok, I admit I am not done reading it yet (I'm reading the fourth book now) but I already love it. It never fails to shock me. It has REAL love and romance in it. It has suspense and action. There are a lot of characters and you learn all about them throughout the series. The way J.K writes just makes you feel like you are right there. Harry Potter has it's own THEME PARK. Plus, Harry Potter has all sorts of fansites, a lot more than Twilight. It appeals to all ages. Younger kids, older kids, tweens, teens, young adults, middle aged adults, seniors, boys and girls. Twilight appeals to 10-14 year old girls who haven't read any other book series.

Harry Potter. When I'm reading Harry Potter I feel like im taking a break from the real world but when I read Twilight its pretty depressing all Bella does is complain. Plus J.K Rowling wrote it so well I can not imagine it a better way. But Twilight could have been better written at some points it didn't even make since.

Harry Potter, hands down.

And to the first person who answered, how can you prefer Twilight to Harry Potter if you've never even read Harry Potter? I absolutely hated Twilight, but I did read the books. You can't have an opinion on something that you haven't experienced.

I love Harry Potter so much more than Twilight! I think probably because in Twilight it's basically the same thing over and over. They love eachother, something gets in the way of their love, they kill it, they love eachother again. In Harry Potter there's a lot of action and conflicts. There's also a lot of suspense.I think Twilight is more romance and Harry Potter is more action.

I have read both books, I'd say Harry Potter! I did like Twilight, but it is poorly written and I can't stand Bella and Edward. Bella is really needy and Edward is very controlling and moody.

Harry Potter isn't perfect (nothing is) but there is talent there. No it's not completely original, but it is a great series. Twilight has a lot of flaws. I can go on and on about it, but I'm not.

Harry Potter. it contains way more details and a much better story. Twilight is just a girl meets a guy, they fall in love, another guy loves the girl, they fight, the end.

Harry potter as everything that a magic adventure could have in my opinion, twilight is just a romance, i like both of them, but harry potter has like...everything?

I am not much of a fan of either, but at least Harry Potter contains a plot and characterization. Twilight is an example of some of the worst writing ever to be published.
