Whats going on with the Muslims in Thailand?

Question

Why are Muslims in Thailand killing Buddhists? What's the reason? Don't tell me that those are extremists, I already know that, tell me WHY. I haven't been able to find anything online. I just recently learned about this and have no information on it whatsoever.

muslims are  killing people at an alarming rate and the media are not mentioning it at all.. are you surprised? Western media also doesn't mention most of what goes on in Malaysia, in Nigeria, in Indonesia etc etc. Wherever there is a significant proportion of muslims, you will find issues with violence

They want to separate the South of Thailand and make that their Thai version of Pakistan as they did in India.

because people are not informed right, they dont know islamic rules properly. I think this is the main reason ..
