Just exactly what do you think will be any different in California than where you live now? For someone just out of high school that would be a stupid thing to do. California is one of the most expensive states to live in, and it has the country's 2 highest unemployment rate. How will you live if you can find a job? Rents for a modest apartment start about\ $1000-$1100 a month. What will you do when EVERYTHING you need or use costs double what it does where you now live? How will you get around without car? The Los Angeles metropolitan area is roughly 110 miles long by 50 miles wide.

Understand that actually living in California is NOT like you see portrayed on stupid television programs. It's over crowded, super expensive, and NOT the place for anyone without lots of money to survive on while looking for one of the few jobs that occasionally pops up You can NOT live here on minimum wages. You need roughly 3 times that amount, and that is just to scrape by without any frills or extras.

PLEASE stay home, go to college, and get a marketable job skill before ever thinking about California. And, by the way, if your motivation is to "pursue your dream of becoming an actress: that will begin another lengthy discussion.
