Clam digging and wharf fishing in PEI?

I'm interested in digging bar clams and quahogs on PEI. I never seem to come across them when I am digging for soft shell clams, so they obviously live in a different environment. Any ideas where I can find them?

Also, I would like to take the kids fishing off one of the local wharfs. Here in NB you can get a nice catch of flounder. Anyone know if it's the same on the island? We'll be in the Malpeque area, but are willing to travel. North Rustico looks appealing.

My buddy used to live on the Island and used to go to a place called Howard's Cove to get them(not sure if he dug or bought them-and I only remember this because his name is Howard)-a quick look on Google earth says that's up the other side of O'Leary, pretty much straight across from Richibucto.

Not sure about the fishing-I never fished there anytime I went over.I know they catch flounder and cod over there from bridges and wharfs but I think there are more groundfish species you have to throw back than you are allowed to keep.
