Worth of a 1964 Jaguar that doesn't run?

I'm prepared to ask if i can buy this Jaguar off of a family friend, but it doesn't run. What would be a reasonable price to offer for such a car?

    The answer really depends on the model Jaguar, its general condition, what is wrong with it, how much will it cost to fix it, etc. Parts for that car are difficult to find and when you do find them, they will be quite expensive. Unless you are really in love with the car and have the time, patience and money to restore, I suggest you pass on it.
