What are these called (Electronic DIY kits ...Not sure)?
In science today we had to make an electronic circuit which turned on a light (I know it sounds boring but I found it fun)
I'm just wondering what they are actually called and where could I get them If I can?..

Your question is so lacking in detail that you are unlikely
to be satisfied or really helped by any answer you receive.
There are many different types of circuits that can be used to control lights,
and many different methods of triggering them. All have different "names".
A suitable transistor and the correct value of resistor
to go with it can be used as a very simple switch.
Look at the kit offerings of Velleman and Ramsey Electronics.
Ramsey also sells some Velleman kits, but not the entire line.
