OK fine, I admit, I like Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Everyone happy now?

It's nice to see somebody trying to squash all of this unnecessary drama that's been going on here.

Still though, you shouldn't have to explain yourself Jose. I don't know how all of a sudden you were singled out as being a racist or whatever. I've never seen a racist remark from you. You don't continually post questions insulting people, and as far as I can tell, the only reason you have on occasion fired back at someone is because they seem to have personally attacked you first, which anyone would do in that case.

Either way though, we all have the right to root for who we want. Why should you and I, or anyone else have to explain in detail why they like one fighter or another?

It's our right to root for whoever we damn please. If somebody doesn't like it, then that is their problem, and they are in the wrong for caring so much. Unless somebody is being blatantly racist like Bailey or Fred C, then nobody deserves to be criticized for liking or rooting for a certain fighter.

That includes EVERYONE, hence the "LIKE Bailey or Fred C". I'm using them as a reference, not saying they are the only ones doing it, or that Black racism is the only problem. Add Pac Chiavelli and anyone you want to the list, they are all the same.

Great display of maturity and exhibition of professionalism. I am proud of youfor leaning to this path. I felt extremely uncomfortable to see you and Killa go at it as I have a lot of respect for both of you. when jhnplezz posted a screenshot of you I was very shocked and I did not want to believe it because you have been my friend for several years now and you have never said anything racist at all. I talked to vino on Facebook and both of us did not want to believe it. Jhnplezz and Killa are only trying to defend Filipinos and i really can't blame them either. It was all a misunderstanding and I am glad this is sort out and you became a better man for this.

This move will help create more peace in the forum. I am truly proud of this path you have taken. I am also proud of Killa and jhnplezz for their acceptance of a truce. :-)

I'm British and White, not that that should have any importance at all, I like floyd and I like manny, I respect both for being the two best fighters in the world today, and I could not care less about race, boxing is about two men in the ring displaying courage, determination and dedication in it's finest form and a fighters colour and heritage should never come into it, i hate seeing boxing brought down to the same level as football where ignorant racist fans turn up drunk, booing and singing bigoted rubbish and generally reducing the sport to the gutter. Boxing must never be about race!

All this emphasis on who you like and why is not any deal to me. I am an American and most elite US amatuers (expect De La Hoya)...I root for (Mayweather, Jones Jr, Russell Jr, Ward, etc). I especially root for the US amatuers from NY...(Judah, Malinaggi, Camacho, Daniel Jacobs, etc). It is very common. How many Mexicans like Alvarez? How many Puerto Ricans like J.M. Lopez and Cotto? How many Filipinos like Pacquiao and Donaire? How many Brits like Haye, Khan and Froch? Does that make any of them negatively biased?

I think anyone who tries to treat Mayweather fans as an accessory to his rants is wrong. Every man is accountable for his own sins. We root for fighters for the skills in the ring, not their errors beyond it.

I have been a fan of boxing for 40 years. As a fan who is African American, many fighters like Ali, Leonard, Micheal Spinks, Tyson, Jones Jr, Hopkins, Mayweather, Ward, and Russell Jr have been favorites of mine. My love for the sport and fighters have not been limited to black fighters. I loved fighters who were not African American like Benitez, Camacho, Hamed, Trinidad, Chris John, Klitschko, Malinaggi and Donaire (I consider an American).

I think we should not be hypocrites in this judgement of other fans. Jose, you are good with me. You are a big man to take the stance you chose here.

Jose, you are taking the right directions! Compared to others who have too much pride, you were man enough to apologize which shows the true strength of a man. Now I ask both Killa and jhnplezz to stop this beef with Jose Martinez. That would be a great step and great contribution to the forum. I remember you and Killa were always friends for about two years until a few days ago. It's time to squash the beef and for us to get along better.

Jose you are one of my closest friends that's why I avoided the questions about you on the screenshot because it was tough for me to see that and I don't know if it's real or not but obviously it change lots of people's opinion in the forum. You are entitled to like anyone you want. The whole Mayweather/Pacquiao thing has gotten way out of hand. Why can't the fans just get along? I don't see the need for such a rift between them.
