Comfortable men's summer sandals/shoes?

Can anyone recommend a comfortable pair of sandals/shoes to wear, without socks, that has support, in the heat of Florida, with shorts and a golf-type shirt? No open toes.

Thanks.

Update:

Thanks for the suggestion, Mike, but I need something a little dressier and more age-appropriate. I should mention, then, I'm 53, and it would be for lunch or dinner at a restaurant on the water, for example, in Tommy Bahama-type attire. I find when I wear most slip-ons sockless, it's really not comfortable. Something vented, or like a fisherman's sandal.

You can try Birkenstock Sandals or Dr Martens. You could also try Sketchers, they make good sandals as well. Tevas also make fisherman sandals. IF you want shoes that you can wear without socks you can try deck/boat shoes.

I recommend Adidas Superstars, they have a foam sole and are super comfy! Found at any Champs or Foot Locker
