How should I get my hair cut?

I am considering getting layers, but I really know absolutely nothing about hair. I have naturally straight, brown hair and a pretty round face I suppose. My hair doesn't curl, whatsoever. It comes down to about my chest and right now I have a side part. Any suggestions? And please be specific; if you say layers, tell me where they need to start and all that type of stuff, because I am completely ignorant to hair jargon. Thank you :) I uploaded a picture to help out.

    You are very pretty!! :)

I would get layers, but long layers. Here's what I mean...

The layers would maybe be 2-3 inches or so shorter than your hair. Short layers are 5 inches or more shorter than your hair. Layers make your hair look thinner. Or thicker... I don't know, I forgot. But I'm pretty sure it's thinner...

Research a bit if layers make your hair thinner or not. If yes, they make your hair seem thinner and you're hair is already thin, don't get layers. If the opposite, get layers!!

Oh, and get full bangs. I think full bangs would look pretty on you!! (across the forehead bangs)

I think you you get short hair, maybe a little past your chin.

And more bangs that sweep over. c:
