Talk to people. Don't do anything stupid. Don't be racist, homophobic, mean,sexist nor appear to be. have a sense of humor. Don't act like a asshole/randomly to try to fit in it does not work. Do well in school. and have fun

I too am going to high school really soon and know exactly how you feel. I would just follow the path that has been set out for you academic wise and try to be somewhat social.

It's pretty weird, but don't ask upperclassmen for directions, since you might get some dirty looks. It's easier if you check the school out and where your classes will be on orientation.
