God is spirit, God's jealousy is not based on flesh but spiritual waste. Much in the same manner, if you spent your entire day preparing a great meal for someone you cared about and they came in took the contents dumped them in the garbage and proceeded to cook exactly the same meal for themselves. This is exactly what we've done with our spirituality by being selfish with our free will.
