Is there a legal way to cover a busted drivers side window so it can still be driven?

Someone in my neighborhood thought it would be fun to bust out the windows on a bunch of cars. Mine included. Right now I have it covered with a bunch of clear plastic packing tape and it is not obstructing my vision. Is this good enough or iss there something else I should be doing? I don't get paid until friday

    Clear packing is the best i can think of.

    If you put plastic there it will obstruct your vision when looking in the mirror, and THAT WILL get you a ticket for sure.

    I say leave it uncovered.
