Im guessing the dot is more likely a duck that started to form but after a few days something happened that killed it and the ducks other eggs hatched and the mother left it. Keep it in the incubator just in case. In a few days check the dot again and see if it grew any.

Umm well keep an eye on the dot. After a few days if it gets bigger then theres a bird in there. The best thimg to do is call a wild life rescue hot line

Do you see veins? Keep it at 98 - 100 farenheit humidity 55 - 65. If you don't see veins wait a few days and check again. If still no sign of veins it may be infertile, the black dot is a good sign but no veins is not.
