Of late, some of the examples are:
1. Suresh Kalmadi.
2. A. Raja.
3. Yediyurappa.
4. M. Karunanidhi & Kannimozhi.
5. Mamta Bannerjee.
6. Dayanidhi Maran.
7. Mayawati.
8. S. M. Krishna.
9. Shashi Taroor.
... and the list goes on endlessly. Of course, one cannot forget Laloo & Mulayam Yadavs, but the above mentioned ones are from the recent past.
And this is one of the reasons why India is still a Third World Country (because the black money recovered from these people could have easily educated and fed millions of illiterate & hungry Indians, and could have improved infrastructure like power, water and roads).
And now, as part, one of the MOST DIFFICULT QUESTION that is listed below:

When we were ruled by a King or an Emperor, few were corrupted. When we have become independent everyone is equal. It is not long before It becomes a birth right one of these days and have backing of the Constitution.
When people don't exercise their Voting Franchise,the majority among the votes cast decide the future of Country. Corrupt people choose corrupt Leaders who are worth being awarded a Doctorate in Corruption.

To become a politician one needs have masses to support him/her. For that he/she must be either a actor or son/daughter of a politician or a famous person from any field. And for increasing vote bank they need to spend a lot for their supports on/off power. So even though aim of many may be to improve our nation but due to practical constraints they too turn corrupted due the corrupted. This's what we mean by 'compulsions of collision politics'. Thus almost everyone works mainly for their benefit. But thus situation can be changed by the much awaited Lokpal bill. Even though the greed may not be punished by courts they would be exposed in media and may be punished by people in elections.

Among them he who is not corrupt gets less respect and sent home.The maximum earner is given due respect because he earned full of money. Even if they got caught and go to jail the money will be somewere or in swissbank, when they come out they can enjoy. By then all govt. Officials become friends(they were made friends given money) and no one will ask them about there corrupted money because already been to jail. All corrupted ministers sons daughters relatives enjoy a princly life. In the mean time all our people forget what they did again his sons will come to politics and..................

Because they came into politics for corruptions.
not to develop the country.
they cant find any other easy ways to earn money.

Because we vote them despite their corruption. Our voting preferences are based on caste, religion, regionalism, dynastic links and sex of the candidate.
