What are the best hypoallergic materials for piercing jewellery?
my piercer told me to use only titanium for my tongue, lip, nose and navel. cause anything else, especially surg.steel could irritate the skin. He said bioflex is safe though. unfortunately all the jewels i like for my tongue and navel piercings are not titanium.
any other materials as safe as titanium?

Either for freshly pierced areas or just for super sensitive areas:
Materials I've heard of for people with allergies, but haven't yet tried:
- Titanium
- Niobium
- PTFE aka Teflon
- Nylon
- Glass
But personally I like Surgical Steel, it seemed to work best, because I had an issue with the original allow they pierced with.
Glass seems to be the most hypoallergenic.

If you do not have a nickel sensitivity, surgical steel would be okay. But to be sure, stick to titanium, gold, bioplast and bioflex. The internet is a great source of jewellery, so try sites like http://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com,/ http://www.wildcat.eu,/ and http://www.crazy-factory.com/ for jewels of different materials.
