Your team's best / worst acquisition of the last off-season?
Every year before spring training, there are proclaimations that this free agent or that free agent will change everything for your team... and every year some level headed person will say "we'll have to see how it plays out during the season."
Well, with the season almost over, who was your team's best and worst off season pickup? Keep in mind that I'm not talking about deadline trades, I'm talking about deals that took place between November 2010 and opening day 2011.
Best: Omar Infante
Worst: Javier Vasquez

I have a hard time disagreeing with your analysis! But allow me to add that the Chiefs also are switching to the 3-4 which most offensive coordinators will say the 3-4 is much harder to play against than the 4-3 because of the versatility. The coaching, GM and general change in the way things are done at Arrowhead is pretty tremendous after nearly 2 decades of a GM that coddled players and tried to buy that one difference making player every year falling short year after year. On the other side of the coin, it's difficult to find much that looks good or right in the Broncos organization. Let's not forget they spent a draft pick on a RB when their defense was one of the most pathetic units in the league last season. Not looking good for Denver fans.

5 years ago Barry Zito and it's still Barry Zito. He damages the team even though the deal was done 5 years ago. This year I guess would be Miguel Tejada because they ended up getting Cabrera anyways so they should have gotten him from the BEGINNING like they were. I don't know why they got Tejada they should have just gone with Cabrera last off season. Meh mistakes are mistakes. I guess the best thing that ever happened to the Giants was getting Volgesong it's like a gift from heaven.

worst-Frank Fransisco. we traded Napoli for him. we didnt need Napoli necessarily but we could have got someone better. he lets us down constantly
we made a couple of useful signing and trades where the player did more than expected, (eg Corey Patterson), but their best move was probably acquiring pitcher carlos villenuava for a PTBNL. he came out of the bullpen and became a reliable starter. Brett Lawrie hasnt played yet, but when he does, he will be our best pick up

Red Sox
Best: Adrian Gonzalez
Worst: Carl Crawford
I just think Crawford is slumping and will get better next year and all, but it's a lot of money to be paying for a guy who's been injured and is batting .244.

My team is the Brewers, and last off-season, we made some pretty great deals.
Good: Zack Greinke, Shaun Marcum, Nyjer Morgan
Bad: Yuniesky Betancourt, if you can even count him as bad. Sure, he's not the best player offensively, but his glove is great and he can get a hot bat when we need it.

Best? obviously Adrian Gonzalez he's the best hitter in baseball
Worst? at the moment Carl Crawford because he hasn't provided anything so far this year, i think he needs more time to settle in

Yankees:
best: obviously freddy garcia and bartolo colon. no one expected them to be this good.
Worst: Feliciano and even though he wasn't an off-season acquisition, Sergio mitre.

Best: Colon and Garcia. They've gone back towards their old form, and I absolutely trust them in the playoffs. Let's not forget that both were aces at one point.
Worst: Feliciano because his arm was pretty much dead when we got him.
