What did you learn in 8th grade history?

    I had American History. Learned about the US.

  • Down South it was typical to study your own state's history in 8th grade.

    I had to learn Georgia History.

    [I am in 9th grade with Gerry --- I sit behind him so I can check out his booty. Gerry is one of those goody-goody boys, but I see him checking me out cuz I'm a bad-girl -- maybe I can mess up his reputation]

    I cannot remember a single thing I learned about Georgia History.

    Now that I think about it, nobody learned anything in my history class. we were probably distracted by our bald teacher's hideous sunglasses tan and shiny head.

    I was in the 8th grade in 1968-1969, we spent more time watching history being made: assassinations, wars, riots, protests, moon landings, Charlie Manson, Altamont and Woodstock.

    Gabby,

    the American Civil War is what stands out to me most. I was fascinated by it and still am to this day. (I am now in the 9th Grade by the way......)

    Canada's first explorers like Samuel de Champlain.. and distinctive concerns.. existence as an early settler.. all the previous concerns.. do no longer think approximately doing many concerns that have been cutting-edge

    that was a long time age (I am 36) I seem to remember learning about the American Revolution, its causes and aftermath, among other things in 8 grade history.

    I am in the UK so the first thing we learnt was all about the Kings and Queens of the UK, then it progressed to what was happening elsewhere in the world at that time.
