------
==>
If the traveler headed west and crossed 4 time zones in his/her 5 hour flight, the traveler 'gained' 4 hours in the flight. Therefore, if the clock currently reads 10:00 am - it will need to be adjusted to read 11:00 am at the end of the flight.

2) A businessman traveled westward. He crossed the International Date Line and arrived on a Tuesday. What day did he leave?
==>
If the businessman is traveling west and crosses the International Date Line, and it is Tuesday when he arrives, it was in fact Monday when he left.
==>
You are correct in your thinking in both cases!

I hope this is helpful.

ouch...I wish you are in another time zone than me. Number one isn't comprehensible to me in any respect. Number 2, appears like a trick query with an excessive amount of information. A circle is 360 levels, she's already made it a ninth of the best way, and simplest has to head part method. 360/two = part and 360/nine = a 9th. Half minus a 9th is your reply. I might be totally fallacious. Ask your trainer.
