Did you mean "hoax" (a deliberately fabricated falsehood) ?

Global climate change is supported by a continuously growing body of unequivocal scientific evidence. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a scientific intergovernmental body organized by the World Meteorological Organization and the United Nations Environment Programme in order to assess the causes, impacts, and response strategies to changes in climatic conditions. According to the Fourth Assessment Report by the IPCC, global temperatures on the Earth’s surface have increased by 1.33°F over the last 100 years. This warming trend has accelerated within the last 50 years, increasing by 0.23°F each decade.

Yes, the man at the forefront of climate change is a pathological liar. There are numerous examples this but i will only share one. In an interview with NBC'S Lisa Myers he told her he has never told a lie, when she asked him to elaborate he said not that i know of(1). There is a bunch more at the site. I found a really interesting video the other day on youtube. Its a 1993(i was 5 lol) debate of NAFTA between Al Gore and Ross Perot hosted by Larry King. Watch it you will be amazed at both that Ross Perot was as crazy as they say he was, and the out right hypocrisy of al gore. The first time i watched it was last night. Here is the link to the play list i made for it.... http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9958FD43A8F...

Everyone needs to watch it and then tell me that al gordidn'tnt mislead millions of people and spread a total lie because the rest of the world wouldn't stop polluting unless there was a fake imminent threat from a fake crisis that forced them to do so.

No global climate change (or global warming if you want to use the old term) is very real.

On the topic of money. Companies who arn't green pump out huge amounts of greenhouse gases and would be badly hit by changes in emissions standards make many many many many times more money than "green" companies. So if you ONLY want to make money you would deny climate change exists and invest in an oil company.

@97% of emissions come from natural sources and we only contribute 3%. This is a common arguement used by climate skeptics with 3% thats a really small number how can that affect me? Well its 3% every year and that 3% shouldn't be there naturally. Under natural conditions almost 100% of all the CO2 that is emmited by nature is taken back up by nature (not exactly 100% thats why CO2 goes up and down over time). We add in 3%.

The problem is that under natural conditions CO2 levels should change very slowly but what we are doing is changing them a lot faster than they should be. Say you start with 200ppm in the atmosphere and add in 3% more in year 1 you would have c206ppm the next year but this would increase again the next year and again and again. The problem with the 3% is that it is accumulative.

no. there's ton of scientific evidence to support it.

although, I think a better word for global warming is "climate change"

look it up on google or wikipedia sometime, it's definately happening at an alarming change.

People just generally don't notice because even very small changes can contribute heavily to global warming.

the Earth is VERY temperamental. we're killing it with carbon dioxide.

Though I think both sides of the argument slant the data to prove their hypotheses,

There is more CO2 and CO in the air, the polar ice caps are melting, U.S. and other countries are having a major sustained drought, increased visible pollution (visit L.A. or Bangkok), more respiratory disease, skin cancer, crop loss, starvation... if it LOOKS like a duck and QUACKS like a duck...

Sorry, but when I read this question I can't help but think of a drunken/puking Virginia Tech student trying to tell people not to drink the old cans of Goebel beer (that fine French import from Detroit).

    Am I the only one?

In all, I can't really decide.

But I would take these environmentalists more seriously if they actually did what they said. They still use their cars, A/C's, electricity, and airplanes. If you really want to help the environment, then stop using cars, electricity, EVERYTHING! Maybe if it was threatening enough, then maybe they would stop, but they aren't, so it's probably not that bad. I feel like everyone is saying "we have to stop CO2 emissions" but isn't really doing anything about it.

You really do have to laugh at the absurd comments deniers make

"Satellites have been monitoring Earth since 1979, and it has been warming at the barely measurable rate of 0.143 (on average) since then."

The above (from NW Jack) left out the bit that the 0.143 is per decade and his time range is 4 decades so the actual figure would be ~0.56 over that period, and built into his comment is a rather damning confession, as the IPCC (who deniers tells are exaggerating and lying) estimated a rise of ~0.12 per decade, whoops another denier sufferers a self inflicted wound.

Global warming is caused the depletion of the ozone layer above the north pole allowing more rays/heat to come into the atmosphere. The ozone layer is being depleted because of the use of CFCs which used to come from spray cans, refrigerators, ect but the C3 in the atmosphere already is hard to break down thats one of the reasons laws were put in place to reduce CFCs. Your wondering why the heat can't escape? Because the of the increase in greenhouse gases which is smog, smoke, and other air pollutions usually from factories block the rays from escaping back into space.
