fellow americans: if you had the money, would you pay off the national debt?
lets say you had enough to pay it off and have $100 mil or so afterward. would you help america or keep the $14 TRILLION+ all to yourself / to invest in other things?
ok i guess you dont have to be american to answer, but im pretty sure i know how all non-americans will answer this.
of course you would get some free stuff for being a hero. movie passes, unlimited gas, maybe a hummer to go with the gas, gift cards for bed bath & beyond, a starbucks built in your kitchen, a guest spot on your favorite crappy tv show, etc. you know.

He*l no! If i were to qive it away, itt would be to qive it to poor people, and qive them homes and food, and help families around the world with food and medical needs! Nott to pay off some persons credit card debts! And i would rather qive itt almost all away and keep like 3 million so me and my little brother can qo to colleqe and the rest to be able to have extra money for all our needs and have a way better life then the one we have riqhtt now. And to send my dad whos in jail for somethinq he didnt do, money for shoes and books.(:
Edit: @orange uhmm, yeah, REALLY. Theirs a lott more important thinqs qoinq on in this world like actual lives of people than a debt that couldve been mostly preventable.

Honestly, I would. But at the same time I don't want to be helping a country who's slowly going against what we once were and use our 'freedom' as a title, when that's slowly going down as the debt goes up. I...don't know.
F*ck your question made me think. D:
@Twoanswers below;
Credit card debt?
Really?

while i develop right into slightly youngster, we had the election of 1960, between Richard Nixon and JFK. The outgoing president, Dwight Eisenhower, went to vote in his neigborhood polling place, and as he emerged from the vote casting sales area, a reporter develop into there to ask him who he'd voted for. Eisenhower lifted his left arm to instruct the reporter his wristwatch, which had a undeniable face exhibiting a image of his 4 grandchildren. He pointed to the watch and suggested "I voted for -them-". i don't have grandkids yet i'm questioning of how forward for my undesirable benighted united states of america. the alternative seems to be between persevering with to flow forward, too sluggish, or going backwards. I voted for Obama the 1st time, no longer because of the fact he develop into my perfect candidate, yet because of the fact I observed him because of the fact the extra efficient of the two obtainable alternatives. and that i nevertheless experience that way. Obama is actual attempting to run the rustic. The Republicans are in basic terms questioning approximately defeating Obama, no count what injury they could desire to do to the rustic. they are vote casting against their very own charges just to maintain Obama from getting slightly credit for something getting surpassed. renowned presidents of the previous. Hmmmm. properly i in my view like Teddy Roosevelt and FDR. in case you advise for the time of my very own lifetime, i think of JFK develop into particularly solid, and bill Clinton.
