Can u factor 2x^3 - x^2 = 10?

I have been stuck at this problem for a long time. Do u factor it like (a+b)(a^2 + ab + b^2) or what?!? So confused........

No, you can't factor that following expression since it contains irrational and imaginary solutions, which are...

    x ≈ 1.89393

    x ≈ -0.696966 ± 1.46774i

    I hope this helps!

    2x^3-x^2-10=0 Try this:

It requires a calculator anyway (unless you are really good at maths), but you just find one number which fits 2x^3-x^2=10, then divide and factorise.

    2x^3 - x^2 - 10 = 0

    No real solutions.

Can't be factored using real numbers.

The most you can do is:

    x^2(2x - 1) = 10
