What does this quip mean, "Where's the gabbagoo?"?

Hello, my friends!

Okay, I'm a bit clueless when it comes to cultural iconography mainly because the categories by which they are defined are so fluid. I first heard this quip on "Mad TV" and then, later, on "Jersey Shore": "Where's the gabbagoo?"

What the heck is it?

I think it is a play on the phrase, "Where's the beef"? or the meat of the matter. Or waiting to hear the rest of the story.

Also the following is from a thread on Chowhound website.

Sicilian and Southern Italian dialects are more guttural than Roman Italian, often pronouncing 'C' as 'G' and 'P' as 'B' among other differences. Gabbagool (you may have missed the 'L' at the end) is simply capicola, an air cured dry Italian ham.
