What should we all do now?

I know that we all spend a lot of time here blaming the other side for everything. It is good for debate and sometimes it's fun to get in little smart alec quips. Obama has his share and Boehner has his share, the dems and the repubs. they all have a share in this mess. But I guess my question is, putting aside party affiliation for just a second, how can we actually get to our people up there in Washington tell them we have had enough and they need to stop playing games, stop wasting our money, play nice and save America for our kids? I know that's what elections are for but can we really keep waiting for that to get here? This is too hard to answer maybe.

And please don't talk about who on either side we should get rid of, because I know this country will always have various political views, but we are still, at this point ,civilized

There are many good ideas here... yet, the TEA Parties (there is no collective leadership) are making the most difference. At the grassroots level, they are demanding accountability and (albeit imperfectly, slowly, and as yet only partially) they are getting it. The will of the people has been ignored long enough. The people are starting to see the end result of entitlement spending without limits or logic (Greece, Modern America and Europe both on the edge of economic implosion) and its end result.

Many of us wonder why the current administration is so willing to overspend and risk financial insolvency. Are they plotting the economic collapse of the West? Are they simply foolish or smart and diabolically evil?

Well, gee...who spent all that money on failed projects? Oh, that would be Obama and company who got EVERYTHING they wanted in the debt ceiling bill and besides, this has been coming since April and everybody knew that but the spending spree continued.

This IS the end result to liberal fiscal policy.

    So the way out is:

1 Pull the plug on all regulation agencies

    2. trim the insane government spending

    3. Repeal NAFTA and go back to fair trade instead of free trade

    4. Stop regulating businesses to death

    5. Tariffs on imports

    6. Bring jobs back to the US

and more, much more...But guess what? NONE of that is going to happen.

We should end the FED and go back to gold.

Call your Representatives and tell them we are unhappy.Tell them what we want.Like i would like to stop subsidies to big oil and ethanol(big fail).

If you have a 401k i would seriously think about rolling it over into something else, like monday morning early.

I was thinking that where are all the committees that are suppose to be watching Washington? They where either clueless or asleep.

Maybe we(American citizens) need to hire unbiased investigative reporters that will actually report these stories before they become a crisis.Hire our own unbiased over site committees to keep a eye on things.

We really need to be more vocal so Washington hears us.We need to stay awake and vigil and never go back to assuming things will just always be ok.
