I just heard "Annihilation" by A Perfect Circle (I know it's a cover, but I like this version better because it's... Well... Darker when it's whispered like this) and now I have a craving to hear some more songs like this.

Anything by Maynard James Keenan, who is the lead singer of the band APC, Tool, Puscifer. All of his lyrics are beautiful, dark, deep, and mystical simultaneously. Check out his cover of Elton John's Rocket Man, it's called Rocket Mantastic by Maynard James Keenan and Stephen Drozd.
