So after I got my oil changed a couple weeks ago I my car was acting strange. Sometimes it wouldn t crank. However, it would after a few more times trying it. But yesterday it was either starting immediately or taking 10+ minutes of constant trying to get it to crank. I went to AutoZone today to get a free starter/battery check and he said it was definitely the battery and I bought a battery and he said that was it. So I went grocery shopping, came back out and it went fine. Stopped to get some gas before heading home and now it won t start at all.

All the lights work as normal, nothing dims when I turn it on, I can hear the fuel pump priming, it s just not even attempting to crank.

I just want to narrow down what the possibilities are before I go out and buy another expensive thing that I don t need. I m thinking it s either the solenoid, ignition switch/coil, or the starter motor itself.

I already have the Bukkit server installed and working. I'm using Minecraft 1.5.1 and my friends can also join the server.

My question is more about getting the mods. As of yet, I haven't found any mods that I really want from the server side mod section of the Bukkit website (mainly because I haven't looked that well as I have a specific mod or two that I have in mind).

Anyway, I REALLY want BuildCraft. If I can only get one this is the one I want. If I CAN get more than just BuildCraft, I also want to have IndustrialCraft too, if they are compatible. I have Minecraft Forge installed and all that but I really want it to be a server wide thing without having to get my friends to download anything at all. I've noticed something called Minecraft Port Central and if I understood this correctly then it seems that this is able to get mods server-side instead of just client-side but it's still confusing to me at the moment. Did I read this correctly? If so, how would I go about doing this?

If this is possible I would also really appreciate some small tutorial on how to do this, or a link to one. But mainly just the beginning part.

I'm taking HIST 2112 at Southern Polytechnic State University and I'm having major problems with getting a book. It's the only class I have that really requires me to have my textbook because we have a quiz over different sections every week. It's not difficult with a book but without a book it's terrible. My midterm is coming up soon and I still don't have a book.

When we first started I had no money. I had to get an extension on my college payments because there were some troubles with financial aid and it took too long to come in, therefore, I never got my college refund that I was going to use for books and stuff until almost a month into school. I tried finding a job to at least get some money but couldn't find one. When I finally got my refund I went online to buy the book. Everywhere I looked that had the book did not have much information on the book or even a picture of it. I knew it was red and it was called "Retrieving the American Past" and it was from 1877 until later on and it's by Pearson. I ordered the book and had to wait 2 weeks to get it. I got it yesterday and it's the completely wrong book, as it only goes from 1810-1860. Still Pearson and still Retrieving the American Past, but online I was never given the year span or a picture of the book or anything. Now my midterm is coming up and I cannot find this book anywhere online where it is for sure the right book. I can't find any eBooks on it, can't find any PDFs anywhere, it's not online anywhere, nothing. It's not even in our own college bookstore anymore.

Long story short, lots of complications happened, got the wrong book, need it very soon. Is there anyone that can help me with this?

Hello, I've earned plenty of scholarship/grant/financial aid money towards college and have almost all of it (tuition, books, fees, housing, etc) paid off for all four years.

But I was wondering if there was any way I can get the money from one of the scholarships right now. I'm still a senior in high school with three weeks left of my year. I was going to go ahead and use the money to buy the laptop I'm going to use all through college.

Hi. I'm trying to find out a way to load back up game files and apps from my USB thumb drive. My SD card is only a 128mb card so I need something slightly larger to hold any bigger games. Can you help out? Thanks!

I already have Homebrew Channel installed and everything. I just need to find a way to get the stuff on my SD card to also work on the USB drive since the USB drive holds 2GB instead of the insignificant 128 mb. If it means anything, I'm on the Wii 4.3u.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L305D (I'm pretty sure that model is right) and it won't turn on. It just recently got fixed about two months ago because the part that connected the motherboard to the power supply input got separated. I think that's what the problem was. But anyway....

I got my mom's laptop battery out of her newer Toshiba Satellite because her's always stays plugged in anyway and mine was dried up. I've been using it perfectly for about a week. But today I let my friend use it.

It was working fine all day until halfway through school my friend asks if he can use my laptop for a second. It's charging so I say he can go ahead as long as he doesn't unplug the charger because I know that's bad for the computer. So I turn around and talk to my friend behind me. I look back and my friend had unplugged the laptop. He was using it fine so I ignored it. Once he returned it he plugged it back in and the screen went black. This happened once before after I switched out the battery but I fixed it by taking out the battery and plugging in the power supply and it turned on. Then I would shut it down, put the battery back in, and it would work perfectly.

But now nothing's working.

I've tried:

-New battery, no power supply.

-New battery, with power supply.

-Old battery, no power supply (I knew this wouldn't work. Wouldn't hurt to try though)

-Old battery, with power supply.

-No battery, with power supply.

-All these same things using my mom's power supply, which works perfectly in her battery-less laptop. So the power supply can't be the problem.

Nothing works. No lights pop up. Not even the "it's plugged in" light that is always on when it's plugged in (which is a big majority of the time).

Anyway, what do you think the problem could be? And how could I fix it?

Everything on this game works great except on cutscenes and Shepard. It first starts when Miranda is talking in the cutscene. She has black triangles all over her face. Then I see it again during the "Create Character" part. Then anytime I look at the squad and look at Shepard his face is completely black, save his eyes.

I have imported my ME1 character.

Both ME1 and ME2 are retail.

Mass Effect 1 ran like a dream. I never had a single problem with anything on it and it was on default graphics settings.

I'm looking at college credits and I'm getting a little confused on the payments.

I'm in-state tuition. Assuming I take 12-credit hours to be a full-time student, would that be $2,749.28 a year or $2,749.28 a semester?

If that's a year then I'd have to pay $2,749.28 x 4 for the entire 4 years of college (at least tuition). Then I assume that the fees at the bottom would also be yearly so it'd be ($2,749.28 * 4) + ($698.00 * 4) + (Freshman dorm is $2,700 per semester) + (($595/2) * 36) for everything, correct?

If I'm right it should be about $25,110 not including books.

That can't be right can it? It has to be more expensive. If I had to pay tuition each semester wouldn't it just add another ~$3000? I'm so confused. Haha. Here are links if you can help any.

My Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5881 will not start up. It has Windows Vista (I know...) on it. I would sometimes get blue screens but that was very rare. Maybe once every 3 months. Last night I was on it fine from about 9:30 to 10:45 and it worked perfectly. Nothing was wrong with it. I put it in hibernate mode like I do every night. When I wake up I go to get on it but when I get it out of hibernate mode, the screen stayed black while all the correct lights on the laptop lit up and you could hear the laptop running.

It's battery dried out completely a long time ago so it always had to be plugged in to be turned on. Even in hibernate mode, if it was disconnected from the outlet, it would turn off. I tried restarting it after letting it sit there for 25 minutes (to see if it'd turn itself on after a while) but nothing. It'd make the right noises and the right lights would come on but the screen would stay completely black. Not a single thing would come up and attempting to go into Safe Mode would not work.

How can I fix this? I'd prefer without a disc because I lost it but I'll get a copy somehow if absolutely needed. Thanks!

Hey. Me and three of my friends are trying to system link two Xbox's to play Halo: reach together. We're doing two on each TV. We have the ability to connect both Xbox's directly with the ethernet cable and we can plug two ethernet cables into the router, both of which should work (but I'd rather the direct connect with one cord).

Our problem is that we can see each other in the "System Link" lobby but the two people on one Xbox are in one lobby and the other two people are in the other lobby. There's no way either of us can find somewhere to "host" a lobby or "join" the other Xbox's lobby. We are selecting "System Link" as the Network when we press Y in the Custom Game section of the menu but we can't find out what to do after that. Help?

1) This may sound stupid but I want to be sure. If I apply to lots of colleges and get accepted to a good bit of them, do I have an obligation to that college? Or does getting accepted just mean that I would be able to go there?

2) What are my chances of getting into some good colleges? I live in GA so I have the HOPE scholarship for any instate colleges. I'm looking into getting into computer engineering/programming. Here are my scores.

-It's my senior year of high school.

-3.6 GPA

-1890 SAT score my junior year

-ACT scores I will receive in about a week

-Taking the SAT again in October

-I'm taking 4 AP classes this year and at this rate, three will be A's and one will be a B. That means I'll get three 4.5's and one 3.5. (That's a big IF. Calc seems to be getting easier and we get +7 points in each AP class, along with the +.5 to the GPA score)

How do you think I'm looking to colleges?

I need a desktop screen recorder for recording something on my emulator. It's going to be a lot of recording so I'd prefer if it wasn't in such a space consumer like .avi

I'm running Windows Vista (don't laugh) on my Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5881 and I'm trying to stream iTunes on Justin.tv

I'm having a problem where even when iTunes is playing and the sound card (Realtek High Definition Audio) is selected as the audio input device, I don't get any output. The microphone is fine but I don't want to have to play the music through my speakers back through the microphone to stream it because that'd have a pretty bad quality. Can anyone help?

I'll start off with the story, go to the virus problem, and then my question is at the bottom. Just skip ahead if you want.

Story:

So last Thursday I tried downloading the first Chiodos album from Fenopy. It was verified as virus free but obviously it was lying. Now whenever I tried opening up any program or turned on the computer, "Vista Internet Security 2011" popped up saying I had viruses. Since I'm not exactly "technology-impaired" and actually want to go into a field involving computers, I knew immediately that this thing wasn't something I should trust. So I stopped the process for it in the Task Manager and deleted the file and folders I downloaded. I did a full scan with Avast! AntiVirus (which I was angry at for not catching the virus earlier when I contracted it. And FireFox too, for that matter) and some viruses pulled up. Deleted those files and thought all was good. So I restarted the computer. And it repeated. Pop ups of "viruses" continued, couldn't use the internet because everything was "dangerous".

So it was overdrive time. Using my iPod, I looked up how to get rid of this virus. I learned that this virus is most likely a Trojan.FakeVirus. So following the instructions I was given, I tried getting rid of it. Safe Mode, normal start up, all that stuff. Only thing is there was not as many processes, files, or registry files that the instructions (I looked at many, many websites on how to get rid of this) had specified. This concerned me a bit. Then, Vista said I had an update. Using the knowledge I do have, I knew this was a legitimate update and not this virus trying to scam me. So I updated and restarted the laptop.

The current problem:

I tried opening up Mozilla FireFox and an "Open With" screen popped up. This was strange to me, but I eventually hit "Browse" and found where the program file was and started it up. Then the "Save File" pop up appeared and said I needed to save firefox.exe or whatever the file was. This was still strange to me, since I exited that out and I could still use FireFox perfectly. Everything was fine. Java, Flash, QuickTime, all my add-ons, and everything was working fine. I tried other files and it is the exact same. I have to find the program file with the "Open With" window and open it that way. And only certain files open up completely. I downloaded MalwareBytes and my laptop shut off about 51,000 files in. I think it was at MicrosoftWorks or something like that.

Question:

Anyone know how I can fix this without having to restart the hard drive? There's a lot of stuff on here I want to keep and lots of these instructables aren't helping very much. I can't even tell if this is a virus problem or just a messed up setting anymore. So, help?

Answers talking about some girl wanting to find "emo/depressing/screamo" songs with great lyrics. I saw numerous posts saying stuff like "screamo music doesn't have great lyrics" and stuff just downing that genre of music. I wanted to see how everyone else viewed music genre's and their lyrics.

I, for one, think everyone who said that is completely wrong and either have not listened to enough of that genre of music or can't comprehend the metaphors being stated in each song. Yes, I know there are exceptions where there are no metaphors (ie: Dragonforce... which isn't even metalcore or Cannabis Corpse which I can't wrap my mind around), but for the most part, all my deathcore/metalcore/post-hardcore music is very metaphorical and contains great lyrics.

I'm listening to "Apology" by Alesana right now, and I love the song. It's meaningful. I love lyrics that make you think about the words to understand what they're saying. This is one reason why I don't really like pop, country, and some alternative, because it's all just stated clearly and it all sounds like they're saying the same exact stuff. And I don't like MOST rap because it can all be summed up in a few words. Drinking, drugs, sex, money, power (Again, there are exceptions). Part of artist's genius is finding different ways to say the same stuff. That's why I absolutely love System of a Down. Serj does a great job in finding these metaphors.

I understand that there's a difference in the "screamo" genre and these metal genres. I prefer post-hardcore, metalcore, and deathcore.
