Laptop won't power up?

I have a Toshiba Satellite L305D (I'm pretty sure that model is right) and it won't turn on. It just recently got fixed about two months ago because the part that connected the motherboard to the power supply input got separated. I think that's what the problem was. But anyway....

I got my mom's laptop battery out of her newer Toshiba Satellite because her's always stays plugged in anyway and mine was dried up. I've been using it perfectly for about a week. But today I let my friend use it.

It was working fine all day until halfway through school my friend asks if he can use my laptop for a second. It's charging so I say he can go ahead as long as he doesn't unplug the charger because I know that's bad for the computer. So I turn around and talk to my friend behind me. I look back and my friend had unplugged the laptop. He was using it fine so I ignored it. Once he returned it he plugged it back in and the screen went black. This happened once before after I switched out the battery but I fixed it by taking out the battery and plugging in the power supply and it turned on. Then I would shut it down, put the battery back in, and it would work perfectly.

But now nothing's working.

I've tried:

-New battery, no power supply.

-New battery, with power supply.

-Old battery, no power supply (I knew this wouldn't work. Wouldn't hurt to try though)

-Old battery, with power supply.

-No battery, with power supply.

Nothing works. No lights pop up. Not even the "it's plugged in" light that is always on when it's plugged in (which is a big majority of the time).

Anyway, what do you think the problem could be? And how could I fix it?

Thank you!

Update:

Oh yeah. Forgot to add. I tried switching out power sources. I used my mother's power source which works perfectly on her battery-less laptop so the power source can't be the problem.

Try remove the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord from your Toshiba Satellite L305D laptop, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current inside the laptop. This clears your RAM and is like a hardware reset. Replace the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord and turn your laptop on.

---Make sure your laptop power jack and charger plug tip are securely connected. If power jack is loose you can find laptop power jack on ebay. However, fixing and soldering the power jack requires professional skill.

--Always, the green/blue LED on charger needs to be constantly on. If not, replace the defective charger. Since battery/ ac adapter has its own lifespan and does not last forever, to help you save some money, you can consider getting a Toshiba Satellite L305D charger under lifetime warranty from store like topmic.com

    Wish the Best.

Sorry to say this, You Might Have to Go Back to the Company, and get the People to see what is wrong

Or, Since it turns off, everytime you have your laptop on charger and on, then it works

but if you take it off the laptop turns off, well then you have got a problem still inside you motherboard or something, so yea, you will have to replace and get a new motherboard probably

It could be the power source ... The thing that powers the laptop. That could have completely died somehow, but I'm not sure why it would randomly go out.

It could have died because it shorted out or something... Maybe you spilled water on it or something.
