Windows laptop won't start up?
My Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5881 will not start up. It has Windows Vista (I know...) on it. I would sometimes get blue screens but that was very rare. Maybe once every 3 months. Last night I was on it fine from about 9:30 to 10:45 and it worked perfectly. Nothing was wrong with it. I put it in hibernate mode like I do every night. When I wake up I go to get on it but when I get it out of hibernate mode, the screen stayed black while all the correct lights on the laptop lit up and you could hear the laptop running.
It's battery dried out completely a long time ago so it always had to be plugged in to be turned on. Even in hibernate mode, if it was disconnected from the outlet, it would turn off. I tried restarting it after letting it sit there for 25 minutes (to see if it'd turn itself on after a while) but nothing. It'd make the right noises and the right lights would come on but the screen would stay completely black. Not a single thing would come up and attempting to go into Safe Mode would not work.
How can I fix this? I'd prefer without a disc because I lost it but I'll get a copy somehow if absolutely needed. Thanks!
Windows Vista 32 bit (I believe)
3GB of RAM.
1GB dedicated video
250GB memory.
That's just the stuff I remember.

I don't use the hibernation mode to many errors coming out of it, try the quick fix , unplug, swap the ram around , reset the hdd, replug back in and restart , could be a error coming out of the hibernation mode

Sounds to me like a hardware issue. Meaning, your screen could have went... Meaning you will need a new screan. Get a diagnostic by Geek Squad located in bestbuy.. Then get a new laptop. (this time get a Macbook)
