Car won t crank after pumping gas?

So after I got my oil changed a couple weeks ago I my car was acting strange. Sometimes it wouldn t crank. However, it would after a few more times trying it. But yesterday it was either starting immediately or taking 10+ minutes of constant trying to get it to crank. I went to AutoZone today to get a free starter/battery check and he said it was definitely the battery and I bought a battery and he said that was it. So I went grocery shopping, came back out and it went fine. Stopped to get some gas before heading home and now it won t start at all.

All the lights work as normal, nothing dims when I turn it on, I can hear the fuel pump priming, it s just not even attempting to crank.

I just want to narrow down what the possibilities are before I go out and buy another expensive thing that I don t need. I m thinking it s either the solenoid, ignition switch/coil, or the starter motor itself.

Take your car to a mechanic and let an expert find out what's going on, rather than us guessing (car unseen) what it might be and you buying some other car part unnecessarily.

If the engine is turning over, just not starting, it's not the battery.

Make sure the connections on the battery are clean and tight.
