Do you think it's about time they abolished the Euro?

Because when Euro zone countries had their own currencies they wouldn't drag other countries down if they went bust.

Update:

I think each country should have it's own currency

Personally one would like to abolish the whole european union idea, however the EURO whilst going through some teething problems needs to remain in place. See a time is coming when the world will need a more stable reserve currency, the dollar isn't as popular as it once was, and thinking is that several world currencies should be used as a reserve currency. Thankfully one good thing this coalition has done is keep the £, otherwise we'd be in the same mess the rest of europe is under.

No the problem with the euro is that the major economic countries haven't sorted out a balancing act for retaining the interest rate and value of said euro, and until France Germany etc get together and fix a stablizer then the euro is in freefall danger.

I'm beginning to think so. In theory it might have seemed a good idea, but as always happens, this sort of thing always sinks to the lowest common denominator. They say that cream rises, but it ain't necessarily so. Thank God we didn't turn out back on Sterling much as what happens with the Euro IS going to affect the UK.

Don't tell me next time you would recommend IMF and World Bank to create and control the new world currency under the UN.

I know the scenario and we're heading to that direction.

  • It wont happen , the agenda is to have a "united states of europe" with centralised power
