Alternative to Slingbox?

Hello,

I am out of the country until December for Work. I was wandering if there is something like Slingbox that will allow me to record the programs at home, then download them before I watch them. I don't think Slingbox has that feature does it? I really want to watch NFL Football and College football out here, and streaming is not realistic becasue of the slow internet connection. Is there something liek a dvr that can record it and then allow me to download the program from that dvr or access that and have very little buffering if any? Please let me know. Thank You
