You could use a Video Convertor program, but then you would defeat the HD quality of your flicks. For $79 to $129 they sell a mess of NLE video editing programs, go find one that has the ability to work with HD and work on your computer. By doing that, you do not have to convert your HD to SD for editing purposes

This is a flash memory camcorder, you can either use the software that came with it or a usb card reader to download.

It would be better if you could get some better editing software, but, here are some free converting , players and a photo recovery software program. Please keep in mind that you should back up and save all original videos. I back up everything to a usb passport 500G hard drive.

All programs come with a HELP section and tutorials.

WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER and media player.

You an use the DIVX player to convert your videos in HD and it's free just type DIVX player on google and download it. Don't download xvid that'd never work personal experience.
