Is this just me or what.....?

You know how on YouTube under comments for any emotional, sappy song there's always a ton of comments like "my dad just died and then I fell in love with a guy who treated me badly and I really connect with this song because of a how broken I feel" or something like that.

Is it just me or does that seem really weird to anyone else? I'm not saying that these people haven't gone through a bunch of really difficult times where they've genuinely felt that way, but doesn't it seem weird to post it publicly for anyone to see? In my opinion mind you, it seems like people feel the need to express their deepest, complex and personal feelings with the world or they're out to get sympathy/attention and thumbs up (why do people thumbs up that stuff anyway?)...

Anyway, I was just thinking and thought I'd ask.

yea i think people just do that because they want attention, i bet 90% of that stuff is fake anyways because if someone really went through something like that, they wouldn't go on youtube videos posting their life stories...

as for that other 10% they just want people to feel sorry for them.

I guess that would make them feel better or something.
