problem bathroom walls?
I'm in a rental house and landlord won't fix anything. Thats fine because rent is very low. Bathroom tile has fallen off and there is nothing for the tile to stick to. Don't want to tear down the wall or put a lot of money into it. How can I just fix the part where the tile has fallen off?

I have used construction adhesive in the past. The best stuff I could fine was F26. It's for stone, metal, concrete, wood etc. Very good stuff. Just put a small amount on all four corners & make a X in the center, place it back in the correct spot & tape over it. The tape will hold it in place until the adhesive cures. I don't remember how long it take but I'd say about 24 hrs it's be there fo good.

If there isn't anything for the tile to stick to then you can't really use construction adhesive or double sided tape. What you CAN do is cover all the tile with a cut-to-fit style bathtub wall enclosure. The cheap ones are ..well.. cheap. basically it would be a plastic sheet that you would cut to cover the entire wall, then use construction adhesive behind it and caulk around it and it hides the entire wall.
caulking trick if you do this: pay extra for the squeeze tubes of caulk, don't try to use a caulk gun. after running the bead, wet your finger and run it down the bead, wipe it on a damp paper towel when its full of caulk.
good luck!

They have this new stick stuff at the hardware store. It's like a two sided tape that's just for tile.

Why bother, get some duct tape and just tape it back up....yeah it will look ugly but who cares.
