they gave you a bs answer! if the swelling is down it's whatever! wait to eat a certain food! like one food is cleaner then the other! as long as the swelling is down ride out! but if i was you i would replace the metal balls with plastic one's before hand. at first your gonna bite it alot until you get use to it... biting metal and plastic is 2 different things! i replaced mine after 2 weeks. i soaked on in rubbing alcohol to sterilize it and put plastic in as to not chip my teeth while getting use to it. metal will chip your teeth even if you don't bite it cause at first your going to want to play with it. just replace it! and eat waht ever the hell you want! i got my done on my 18th birthday and the guy said all i gotta do is do a shot of 151 after every beer i drink and i would be fine. your mouth is the fastest healing part of your body cause it's also the dirtiest. it has to heal fast to avoid infection. you think eating soup is cleaner then a steak? just keep it clean another 3 or 4 days and your good!

no i wouldnt eat them yet, its still a fresh piercing, and if its still swollen you may make it worse, i would wait until the swelling is completley gone, and the pain as well, and then once you change the larger bar to a smaller one with no problem id say go for it!
it took me almost a month before i could eat potato chips, citrus foods, anything like that.

Well, honestly, you should wait like 4 weeks before you do that because the piercing on your tongue might get like swollen.

shawn is right. dunno why someone gave him a thumbs down. after two weeks you can eat anything you want, as long as its not sore. I live off spicy food, and mine NEVER got infected. and I also, chipped my teeth with the metal ball.. plastic is better for your teeth.
