It is a shame that we start our children off with mandated recitations at such a young age. No. I have nothing against the pledge, except that other nations laugh at us for forcing our youngest children, some too young to even understand the words they are repeating, to stand and recite a daily loyalty oath to God and the US government, like the Nazis used to do. If we taught them to sing the national anthem instead, they would at least learn a skill that is useful at ball games.
