Electrical outlet question? Can someone please help. ?

I went to plug in a floor fan and the electrical outlet was blowing cold air out of it. It felt just like i had stuck my hand near an air vent. What is this? And what do I need to do? Please help. Thank you!

    Nomadd is right. You have cool air leaking in from the attic, So in all probability your heater is working overtime in the winter. Most if not all your outlets need checking.

    You can get an outlet cover with a gasket to keep the air out,
