bi orbs : good or bad?

I've just purchased a bi orb 60l tropical freshwater tank and I'm looking for anyone who has experience with these tanks. I've seen some reviews : some good, some bad, so would be grateful if any owners of these tanks could share they're experience in the pros and cons of the bi orb bowl. I should add that i've keep tropical fish b4, but in a regular, rectangle 4 foot tank, so do have a fair bit of knowledge on what it takes to look after a tropical aquarium.

I had a bio-orb and found it to be an excellent product, keep on top of the replacement cartridges and maintain it regularly and there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to keep a healthy stock of fish in it.

I've kept fish in all kinds of tanks over the years and the medium for the Bi-orb did a very good job of keeping the water quality high, better than say the Fluval Edge I'm running amongst other's at the moment.

I'm right in thinking bi orb is just a goldfish bowl. If so then its not very good for the fish you can normally only get away with the goldfish bowl scenario if the bowl is over 100 litres you might have a chance with a 60 litre but you cant stock like a normal rectangle 60 litre because it has less surface area meaning less fish. In in the future a standard rectangle tank is definitely better for fish but I have to say fancy designer tank are very tempting they look so cool. Hope this helps.

I personally think they are overpriced for what you get.

Other than that, I have no opinion on them...as long as you stock it correctly I have no issue with the shape of a tank.

Biorbs are just a bigger version of a bowl they are over priced and kill fish .

My advice is take it back and get a Tank

    Bad.

The shape makes them awkward to stock...
