If you have warrants can you still get an state issued id card?

    As soon as you go to renew your license or get a state issued I.D. card at the DPS/DMV office, you will be arrested if you have open warrants.

    Yeah, great idea, Wander in to apply for a state issued ID card with open warrants. That'll work out well I'm sure.

    If you have a warrant my advice is turn your self in don't be stupid and make it worse.. and going to go get an id card will throw a red flag because they do a back ground check before issuing one

    I'm sure they'd catch you if you went to get the ID card. I wouldn't risk it.
