I need a rendezvous point?
Is there some large place inside Los Angeles Airport where I can get a number of people who are coming in on different airlines to meet? Any suggestions?

the theme building would be good rendezvous point
you cant miss it that building in the middle of airport
its the building that looks like something from the jetsons

This isn't going to be great.
My best suggestion is to meet where your next stop is - like the specific rental car center...
If you aren't doing a rental car or nearby hotel.
My next thought is the food court in the Thomas Bradley Terminal. This is on the outside of security so everyone will be able to get to it. It's smack in the middle of the airport so as centrally located as you can get.
LAX terminals are by airline. There is no way to get into a terminal if you are not flying that airline.

Encounter Restaurant at LAX. It's a spaceship looking place and you can get food or drinks while you wait. You'll think you're in an 'Austin Powers' movie set. The food isn't wonderful, as is the case in most landmark places.
The yelp.com website has plenty of pictures.
