Has Al Gore always been this silly about Global Warming?

I listened to Al Gore spout off about everyone who does not believe his "global warming" stuff. Has he always relied on foul language to denigrate his opponents, and been such a whiner, or has he been taken off his medication? Or is he just nuts?

Update:

Lawn Gnome: Actually, this speech was last Thursday, What I listened to was a bad copy of a speech he gave in Aspen, Colorado. I am sure he rode his bicycle there from his place in Santa Barbara, or where ever he is now days. By now I am sure his G2 Gulfstream is long ago retired.

Update 2:

Jeff M: Usually, we expect more out of our "statesmen" than the type of foul mouthed language which Al Gore used in his speech last thursday, in Aspen, Colorado. It seems to me that he has lost his ability to convince anyone of the GW theory, and now has resorted to bad language and name calling. Obviously you don't care, and I guess I should not either. But lets not suggest that his speech was "scientifice", obviously he is drinking again, or has had a CVI.

If you have such bad things to say about what Al Gore states then don't listen to him? I'm sure you can find many other sources, some of which Gore himself uses, in peer reviewed literature that shows you the science. Gore is a spokesman that looks at the data and the science and relays it to the public. He is much the same as many others in that aspect. If you want to learn science, read the science, do not listen to someone else's interpretation of it.

He is showing his frustration at the liars who claim that climate change is not true. It's not his global warming stuff. It is the science that has been studied over and over by thousands of scientists who are convinced that the evidence is there for global warming. In order for volcanoes to put out as much CO2 as the human race does in a year you would need over 100 volcanoes erupting full blast year round. Gore is only a spokes person for the scientists. They have more important work to do than give speeches. As for what you consider foul-mouthed, there has to be some way to get through to you people.

Actually no. Rev. Al wrote a book in 1992 before the global warming hysterial really started warming up. It was called "Earth in the Balance," and advocated saving the planet through population control, stopping ozone depletion, developing new technologies which would be more earth friendly. And, (are you ready for this) massive capital transfer to poor nations. I suppose he touched on global warming, but the main thrust of the book was general environmental degredation, e.g. saving the planet.

That movie was made more than a decade ago, and yes, he is passionate about the truth.

Texas, today, worst drought in a LONG time.

    Australia, today, same thing.

North Polar Ice Cap, melting away.

Ross Ice Shelf, South Pole, breaking off and soon to be adrift.

The Northern Passage, that is the place above Canada that Europeans tried for centuries to cross, rather than rounding the Horn, is now passable to all shipping year round.

So yes, some of that nuts points have been proven as realities.

Change, it is the only constant in the entire Universe, that is a fact.

Maybe he got it right, maybe he did not, I will not know, my grandkids might.

Until then , I will keep my sailboat and fresh water supply handy.

The hypothesis of global warming was first put forward in the late 1800's, so giving credit to Al Gore is little stupid, unless you believe he is at least 110 years old??

Why not try something really crazy, and get your information on science from... oh i don't now.... scientists?

Not at first. But then he started to realize how much money he could make with this scam and he's been on a roll ever since. He's even moved to a bigger mansion in Santa Barbara than he had in TN. He's now neighbors with "The Oprah". He's only made a few hundred million$.

  • you cant always trust the science it has been proven to be flawed and corrupt and as for al well....while it is true global change is real its exactly that "global change" i don't think its necessarily prudent to blame man it should read a "convenient scapegoat".
