Could this be Lyme Disease?
Ever since last Thursday, I have had mysterious mild to moderate joint and muscle pain, on and off. I don't have the rash that usually accompanies Lyme, nor do I have any other symptoms besides a headache. I haven't found any ticks on me recently, though I do live near the woods and I have a cat that goes outside. Does this sound to you like it could be Lyme Disease?
I have been to the doctor already, but the results of the bloodwork I had done are still pending.

I had a positive Lyme test in April 2009. I started seeing a dr. in March 2009 because I had Extreme insomnia. After test after test I received positive western blot. I never had a rash, used to live outdoors and often found ticks on me.
I don't remember my first symptoms. I do remember not being able to sleep because my mind would not stop, I had ringing in my ears and later I noticed I was in pain. The pain grew to the feeling that my joints are in a vice grips, with the rest of my body in general pain. At one time my neck was so stiff for about a week with not explanation.
If you suspect Lyme, seek out a Dr. that knows about Lyme. When I was diagnosed in 2009 I received 2 different antibiotics for 8 weeks. My health worsened. The Dr. at the time said they treated the Lyme and there must be something else wrong with me.
Yada, yada and today I am still sick, out of work, and have been on antibiotic therapy since Oct. 2010.
keep yourself informed, good luck.
