Is smashing someone's eyeglasses attempted murder?

I was playing around with my friend and I was fake a punch to his face, he yelled attempted murder. He then explained to me that if one is punched in the face while they have eyeglasses (prescription eyeglasses), then it's considered as an attempted murder.

Is this really true? Or to what extent is the law interpreted regarding victim who has their eyeglasses smashed? Thanks guys!

it would be hard to say if it wasn't your friend and attacked a person and the glass broke pushing glass into the persons eyes and they die you can be charged with manslaughter or a form of it

since its your friend and playing around it would be either battery or assault if you did kill him it may become accidental death

No. If you weren't trying to kill him, then it isn't attempted murder.
