A laptop brand that has a key-shape and response that is very similar to those of a desktop PC keyboard?

E.g., I do very well with the DELL standard keyboard, but every laptop I have tried has awful keys, and I end up with all kinds of typing errors. Has no PC company not put any attention on this issue? This is driving me nuts.

I've found some good laptop deals lately, but--for me--this seems to be the "deal-breaker." THANKS.

Update:

Yes, I did think of the external keyboard idea..which I might do when I need to kick back at home when I am writing (and regular sitting in front of the desktop and monitor is killing my low back). But the other reasons for the laptop were to get me out of the house or allow me to work on news stories on the train or bus, on the way to the non-commercial radio station..and having all this stuff to lug around would hardly be practical. Also, if I'm going to pay a pretty hefty amount for a laptop, why should I have to make such a compromise? One of these companies had better wake up to this need.

Update 2:

I'm gonna leave this question active, to see if there are any more interesting answers around, but SO FAR (last couple of days), I have found the Lenovo laptop keyboards to be much better than average. which was a very pleasant surprise. I have HEARD that their battery life is better than usual, too. We'll see.

You aren't going to find a laptop keyboard exactly like a PC keyboard because it has to be different to meet the requirements of the laptop.

    Hopefully they get innovative :D

just buy a pc keyboard usb and plug into your laptop (use it as external keyboard on your laptop) instead of the built in keyboard on laptop

A good question. One spends premium money for a PC..even more so for a laptop...and then you can't type for sh*t. There oughta be a law!!
