Samsung Galaxy Tab or Droid 3?

I am deciding whether to get a Samsung Galaxy Tab or a Droid 3. Yes, I am aware one is a phone and one is not. Here's the deal: I don't use my phone a lot, but it would be nice to have something like my iPod touch that I could use as a phone. Right now I have an iPod touch and I like to play games on it and such. It would be nice to have a 3G plan with it. Or should I get a Samsung Galaxy Tab? That would be bigger - not sure whether that would be a pro or con. And if Samsung Galaxy tab, I use Verizon so 7 inch or 10 inch?

The thing is that I don't use my phone so much, but I might use it more if I had a Droid 3. However, I am not eligible for an upgrade until next July...so should I get a Samsung Galaxy Tab?

Please don't suggest anything other than the two devices I am considering.
