Has anyone had this done to their hair?
There is a hair treatment where it straightens your hair for 3 months, but you have to use a special shampoo and conditioner for those 3 months. It's known as the Keratin Straightening or the Brazilian Straightening treatment. Has anyone ever had this done?
How long did it REALLY last?
Did it actually make your hair frizz-free?
Is it worth the 300 dollars?
Pros and cons?
Yes, it's also called the Brazilian Blowout!

Is this the Brazilian Blowout you mean? It really does last 3 months, but this only depends on how well you manage it. It's important to use the treatments they provided you with so your hair comes out smooth and not frizzy. Plus, they should give you this little bottle of relazer that makes your hair so soft and shiny, I love using it for a finishing touch up.
My hair is like frizzy curly, and the Brazilian Blowout made it able to become relatively straight right after a blowdry, so i didn't need to use the flat iron as much as before.
The cons of this is that the old hair treatment they used for the Brazilian Blowout had a certain ingrediant that could become cancerous, but since it is a Keratin treatment, it is safer and is just as effective. Definitely talk to a hairdresser, and make sure she goes into more details with you and she can help show the tchniques and hair routine you must follow after the treatment, so your hair doesn't become brittle and lost strands. Get an opinion on the state of your hair and see if it's safe for you to handle the chemicals for it. I had a very honest hairdresser so she told me that it could make your hair fall.
For me, since my hair was brittle, I had to have a little hair strengthening treatment done first and then had the brazilian done the day after so I wouldn't lose too much hair.
I had this done in the Philippines, so it didn't truly cost 300 dollars, but I say do what is GOOD for you. You can just have a perm if you want, but it doesnt last as long. Just be sure to some sort of heat spray so that if you worry about heat damage, the spray would protect it (mostly).

It all depends on how you take care of it. It only lasts for 6 to 8 weeks(just like a haircut or color) and yes you do need to use their products to make it last longer. You will still have to run a smoothing iron through your hair to eliminate frizz or a little wave. As your hair grows your outgrowth (just like color) will be wavy or curly which ever you have. I would rather smooth my hair with an iron everyday than pay 300 every 6 weeks!! My opinion....

i have had japanese straightening done which i am pretty sure is almost the same thing. it lasts longer than 3 months because it depends on how slowly your hair grows. but the straight hair will weigh down the new hair for a little bit. it completely took out the frizz. nomatter what. sunlight or water couldnt ruin it. its defanantly worth the money! its like magic. i think you would love it

I had this done!! I have this awful frizzy nappy hair. I had the keratin treatment done on my hair. It didn't do sh!t.. I left that place nappy as ever and the poos and conditioners make your hair nappy AND feel greasy. Plus it gave me awful acne on my forehead. Probably because keratin is what blocks pores lol. I had another thing done that worked AMAZING! My hair is soo straight. I'm sorry but I forgot what it was called but anything is better than that keratin mess!

my friend got a "brazilian blowout" which sounds like the same thing as this, but it started making her hair fall out, not all of it only patches. i don't know if its because of her hair type but i wouldn't say its worth $300

i had it done!! it cost me $160. i dont think $300 is worth it!!!
yes it helps with frizzy hair, well it did for me!!
it lasted 7 months for me
cons-you have to wash ur hair every other day, its not as straight as japanese, your hair will be greasy for the first few days, cemicals in your hair
pros-frizz-free, makes it a lot easier to style hair (wash and go), the process is a lot faster than japanese, will go back to normal so your hair wont be half straight and have curly when it grows out
so i recommend it, but not for $300

It depends on your hair type. My friend did Japanese hair straightening because she had wavy/semi curly hair, and that lasted for almost a year and a half.
