Difference between 1600 vs 1866 Memory?

I'm building a computer and am comparing all parts now...

Saying my computer can run these parts and use them to their extent, what kind of performance would I see? What exactly does the speed help with?

8GB (4GB x2) @ 1600

vs

8GB (2GB x4) @ 1866

You wouldn't notice a big difference between the two. The 1600 and 1866 are memory clocks simply put the higher the clock the faster the ram is going to run. The 1866 is probably more expensive because it has a higher clock. BUT it fills up all of the slots on your motherboard. With the 1600 you could possibly double it and get 16gb of ram. (this is pointless if you have a 32 bit OS because windows doesn't even support that much the max is 4GB on 32 bit and the max is 192GB on 64 bit)

Oh and the speed helps with general computer function such as how many programs can be used on the PC at one time. I would buy the 1600, its gonna be less expensive anyway.

Neo-conservatism is just a re-vitalization movement with many of the same values as 'old' conservatism. You can trace it back to the neo-classicism of the Reagan era, or all the way back to the election of Jimmy Carter with the help of politicized Christian conservative democrats, if you try hard enough. One of the main differences is that neo-conservatism is more interventionist and activist than traditional conservatism - making it really not that 'conservative' in the usual sense, more like a new brand of liberalism headed in a very different direction. One way to look at it is this. Traditional conservatism is really little more than resistance to change. From the 30s through the 60s there was a lot of political, economic and social change. Those changes became solidified and accepted, and traditional conservatives today would be the ones who don't really want either any further change (be it characterized as 'progress' or 'backsliding'). Many self-identified liberals and moderates are, in fact, such conservatives. Neo-conservatives want to go back to earlier values in some ways, particularly with regard to the respect accorded religion. Some are reaching all the way back to the 19th century for thier models of society (just as modern liberals do when they evoke the ideals of socialism). They also want to forge actual change. The idea of America as an interventionist global power dedicated to it's own supremacy is quite new, for instance.

Dude i have also had the same question,

1600 is more economical and satisfactory because 1866 2233 are just slightly above it.

Unless you care your budget, go for it

    The 1866 is a ' theoretical' 16% faster.

1866 is a faster ram to 1600. higher the clock speed the better provided your motherboard supports them

The extra two sticks will mean an extra command state (to select the correct stick), which will reduce the benefit of the extra frequency. The performance difference probably wouldn't even be noticeable on real world applications.

    1866 is 14.9GB/sec

    1600 is 12.8GB/sec

    12.8/14.9 = .8591

    1 - .8591 = .141 or 14.1% faster
