sam houston toll machine violation?

I was driving on the tollway today and went to the machine which didn't have a pole in the front. I threw in 6 quarters, but 2 missed (my left arm is practically useless at coordination). so i threw in another 2. i'm not 100% certain both went in, or if I was short more than 2 quarters. If I was mistaken, how much is the fine for that mistake?

Note: this is probably just me being paranoid. I saw the message on the machine above the net and it first said toll remaining: $0.50 and then thank you when i threw in the last 2.

When it said "thank you" that meant the quarters made in in the machine. Ever get in the coin lane and money doesn't make it into the slot? Put your car in park and get out. You'll find quarters on the road. ;-)

By the way, if you throw all the quarters in at once, sometimes they don't all get counted. It's a pain, but one or two at a time and you don't have that problem.

You are probably fine, and being paranoid. Don't worry about it. If you really want to know, you can go to the city website, (I can't remember now what it is, but google Houston Traffic laws, and it's a .org website.) and find out.

If you didn't make enough change in they'll send a ticket in the mail.
