My union does nothing for me?

I am a part time worker at a deli in a supermarket. I get no health benifits, get paid below minimum wage (because of the two month trial period) and barely get the legally required number of breaks and I still have to pay 100 dollars quarterly to a union that hasn't helped me at all. Is there any way to get out without getting fired? Can I picket the union office without getting in trouble? How would I go about starting a deunionisation movement at my place of work?

The concept of unionization is the 'collective' power of the union. While you may not feel they benefit you personally, the union is not about the individual "you" but you as a representative of a class of workers. You may believe your situation is bad, but perhaps it would be worse without the union's protection. I can't image a way you could start any action against the union without expecting retribution of some sort. You work there voluntarilly. You have the option of going to work for a deli in a non-union shop and see if you like it the conditions better.
