Is it bad idea to buy a car that has salvaged title?
http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/cto/2527731786.h...
This is the car that I'm looking at. What kind of questions should I ask about this car? I think it's a nice looking car with low mileage and meets the budget..
Bonus Question:
What are your advice for car-searching that is already used and isn't any older than 2000 model? What kind of cars should I look for? Thanks in advance.

Call the owner and ask him why it has a salvage title ( it could of just been stolen instead of crashed which is good news), and ask him if the car has any frame damage ( 90% of the time if it has frame damage you should just walk away).
Finally get the car thoroughly inspected, and make sure you get 30-50% off the price listed on kelley blue book for the car.

Have it completely check out by an auto mechanic even if you have to pay for it. It is better than buying a car with no knowledge of any of the damage that was poorly fixed or not fixed.
